Snoopy waiting for food

Last night I went to bed to watch tv and Don walked by and said "You have company." I looked down and Snoopy was sitting there trying to gather up all her strength to jump on the bed. We have one of those VERY high beds and she has trouble jumping that high. He offered to assist her and she did not protest. Once on top of the bed she came up and wriggled down under the covers! She's not done that in forever -- and certainly not on her own.
I am looking at that as another wee bit of progress.
We've still not taken her back for blood tests. Maybe at the end of the month we will see if her number have reduced at all. Fingers are crossed!

I have one cat like that, who is always waiting for food. I rescued her from life in a parking lot and she's not stopped eating since. Can't put her on a diet because I have six other cats. I'm afraid she'll end up being diabetic.
Tammy, Snoopy is a "cured" diabetic. Don't ask how that happened - but it obviously was weight related because when she had a dramatic weight loss due to an unrelated illness, her sugar normalized again.
Anyway, we did put her on a diet, even with two other cats in the house. My husband "invented" a feeding box for the two skinny cats by cutting a small doorway into one of those large plastic storage containers. He made the hole just large enough for them, but fat Snoopy could not fit through it. It worked like a charm.
We fed her separately in the bathroom and they had their unlimited supply of food in their "feeder".
